Obituary: Leonard T. Larson, 95, Foreman, WWII Veteran

Leonard T. Larson, 95, of Cranston, passed away July 17, 2014 at home. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of the late Anna (Williams) Larson.

Born in Cranston a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Larson worked for the former Kenny Manufacturing Co. Warwick for forty years, retiring as a foreman. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the African and European Theatre. For participating in the Liberation of the Nazi Dachu Concentration Camp, he was awarded a Liberation Ribbon & Certificate of Honor from the United States Holocaust Council signed by President Ronald Reagan.

Leonard was the loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Clarence, Everett, Louis and Raymond Larson.

His funeral service is Tuesday a 10 a.m. in ''WOODLAWN' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be Private. VISITATION TUESDAY MORNING from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of R.I. or Visiting Angels in Johnston.
