Obituary: Mary (Sullo) Zaccardelli, 93

Mary (Sullo) Zaccardelli, 93, a lifelong resident of Cranston, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter and son-in-law on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Kent Regency HealthCare Center, Warwick.

Mary (Sullo) Zaccardelli, 93, a lifelong resident of Cranston, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter and son-in-law on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Kent Regency HealthCare Center, Warwick.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Zaccardelli. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Michele and Saveria (Colacone) Sullo. 

Mary was an at home mom for her family as well as a Girl Scout volunteer mom for many years.  She loved animals and also enjoyed duckpin bowling, sewing, playing cards and bingo.  Mary also enjoyed yard sales and going to flea markets.  In her later years she enjoyed artwork at the Cranston Adult Day Services and became the President of the “Coloring Club” at Kent Regency.  Mary can best be remembered by her smile.

She is survived by her loving daughter Valerie A. Gambuto - Carnevale and her husband Ricky of Cranston. She was the sister of Josephine Zompa and Susan Mollicone both of Cranston, and sister of the late, twin brothers Antonio and Michael Sullo, Jennie Manzi, and Dolores DiPippo.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on THURSDAY at 10:30 A.M. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Interment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, VISITING HOURS are WEDNESDAY from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cranston Adult Day Services, 1070 Cranston Street, Cranston, RI 02920, where Mary enjoyed spending her days in the later years of her life.
