Obituary: Peter A. DeRita, 93, WWII Veteran, Car Salesman

DeRITA, PETER A., 93, of Cranston passed away Sunday July 13, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria (Albanese) DeRita. Born in Providence a son of the late Giuseppe and Camella (DeBlasio) DeRita.

Mr. DeRita was a retail automobile salesman for over 30 years for B.A. Dario. He was also employed at various racetracks throughout the state.
He was a WWII Unites States Army Veteran.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Camille Cataldo, Gloria Rubin and her husband Larry, all of Cranston and grandchildren Camille Cataldo, Peter Cataldo, Brooke Rubin and great-grandchildren Erica and Peter. He also leaves two surviving sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be private.
