Stephen R. Fish, Ph.D., 67, of Cranston passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Arlene M. (Nardone) Fish for 40 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Clifford E. and Marion L. (Benson) Fish.
Dr. Fish was the president of Nesoft Corp. until his retirement in 2011. He taught at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and Campbellsville University in Kentucky. He was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School and received his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. from U.R.I. Dr. Fish was a communicant of All Saints Episcopal Church in Warwick. He was a Ham Radio Operator "W1BG" since 1960.
He was the devoted father of Stephen E. Fish of Cranston. Loving son-in-law of Gladys A. Nardone of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Jeffrey E. Fish.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 am in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-9 pm.
