William A. Votto, Sr., 81, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston

William A. Votto, Sr., 81, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston.

He was the beloved husband of Ann (Bruno) Votto they were married for 48 years. Born in Cranston, he was a loving son of the late Anthony and Albina (Golini) Votto. William worked for the Cranston School Department for 30 years as a foreman, he also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. 

William is survived by his loving children , William Votto Jr. of Cranston, Susan Barada of South Kingstown, Stacy O’Brien and her husband David of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Amy, Jeffrey, Nicole, Tayla, and Avery. He was a brother of the late Pat Votto, Ray Votto, and Eddy Votto. 

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Interment, with military honors, will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISTING HOURS: Monday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
