An alcohol-fueled disturbance at East Providence Lanes in Rumford last Tuesday night, Nov. 6, ended with a man and a woman being charged with disorderly conduct.
Donald J. Lacasse, 24, of Downs Avenue in Pawtucket, and Lynnsey M. Dailey, 29, of Broad Street, Cranston, were charged after East Providence police responded at about 10 pm.
Lacasse and Dailey allegedly were involved in a disturbance at the bowling lanes with a group of about 20 people described as of Asian descent by police. Police said everyone was screaming and yelling at each other when patrol officers arrived.
Officers separated Lacasse and Dailey from the disturbance one at a time. Each was described as having been drinking and making disparaging remarks at the Asians, police said. Lacasse had a bloody lip reportedly from falling on a bowling ball.
Lacasse was described as drunk and particularly belligerent to police, according to the arrest report. He repeatedly yelled profanities at the police officers, according to the arrest report.
Dailey, too, was belligerent to the police officers and also made profane comments, according to the arrest report.
None of the other participants in the disturbance were charged.
Lacasse and Dailey were handcuffed and taken to the police station and charged. They were held overnight and released the following morning with dates to appear in District Court.
