Arrest Made in Liquor Store Theft

Cranston Police charged Harold Brown Jr. with shoplifting after his image was broadcast by the Rhode Island Most Wanted Web site.

Cranston Police caught a man they had wanted for allegedly stealing three bottles of Grey Goose vodka from Healey's Liquors on Pontiac Avenue twice in two days after his image was posted on the state's Most Wanted Web site.

Cranston police charged Harold Brown Jr., 53, of Providence, with two counts of shoplifting.

On Aug. 27, Brown and a woman reportedly used a distraction technique to occupy an employee while the he stole three bottles of Grey Goose vodka, police said.

On Aug. 29, the same two entered the store again. Brown allegedly stole two bottles of Grey Goose while the female looked around. He put the bottles in a back pack he was carrying.

Police did not charge the woman.
