Cranston Man Wanted for Burglary Arrested in Worcester

Anthony Fleetwood, 21, is wanted out of Cranston on a burglary charge.

A 21-year-old Cranston man wanted on a burglary charge by Cranston Police was arrested Sunday in Worcester after a traffic stop by a Massachusetts State Police trooper.

In a release, the state police said Anthony Fleetwood, 21, of Cranston, was pulled over after Trooper Ryan Walczak saw the blue Lincoln Town Car he was driving commit a motor vehicle violation. He was stopped on Quinsigamond Avenue at Milbury Street.

Fleetwood initially told police that his name was Anthony DeCosta and that he was 24. Police were able to positively identify him after an investigation and soon found he was wanted in Rhode Island on the burglary charge.

He was arrested and held pending arraignment in Worcester District Court.

All told, Fleetwood was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence, an equipment violation, motor vehicle lights violation and with the Cranston warrant.
