Cranston Walgreens Hit by Smash and Grab

Police are looking for a man they say busted the glass door of the Oaklawn Avenue Walgreens and stole cigarettes.

Cranston Police are looking for a white man with a receding hairline who allegedly smashed the glass front door of the Walgreens at 1279 Oaklawn Ave. and stole a load of Newport and Marlboro cigarettes early this morning.

Cranston Police Major Robert W. Ryan said that the man is described as white with brown hair and he was wearing blue jeans with a dark colored jacked and white shirt wrapped around his face.

The man was caught on camera and security officers watched him perpetrate the smash and grab from a remote location around 2 a.m.. They contacted police immediately.
