Crash at Cranston/Warwick Line Sends one to Hospital

One person was hurt in a crash along Route 2 right near the border between Cranston and Warwick Wednesday afternoon.

No details were immediately available, but one person was seen being transported away from the scene by ambulance in what appeared to be a single-car rollover accident.

The car, a dark four-door sedan, came to a rest in the grassy area between the parking lot of the Building 19 being demolished and Route 2. As police and first responders worked the scene, construction workers taking apart the former discount store stood and watched.
