Grand Jury Indicts Men who Allegedly Robbed Pizza Driver

The two men from Cranston and Johnston that allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint last November were indicted by a grand jury on Monday.

The Providence County Grand Jury indicted Joshua Carey, 23, of 19 Woodland Ave., Cranston, and Alec Perry, 18, of 343 Simmonsville Ave., Johnston, each on charges of first degree robbery and carrying a weapon while committing a crime of violence and conspiracy.

Police said the two men allegedly ordered two pizzas from Silver Lake Pizza in Providence and requested for the delivery man to bring change for a $100.00. When the delivery man responded to 5 Joy St. in Johnston, a white male suspect exited the residence with a black rifle and ordered the delivery man to give them all the money.

At that time the money was handed over and both suspects ran from the scene with the stolen $230.00 cash and the two pizzas.

Both are due to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause on Feb. 14.

DCYF Should be charged for giving him back to his mother who lost all her rights to him in 2004.When he was adopted. DCYF didn`t help in any way, shape or form. Alec had everything growing up the only thing he didn`t get was freedom to run the street. His mother comes back to RI and told him to run away and DCYF will give him back to her and that is what happen. Alec has been in trouble sent the day DCYF gave him back to his mother, she even called the police on her own son because she couldn`t control him after she let him smoke pot, drink and tattoos. She got him his 1st tattoo at 16yrs old at a house party. This is who DCYF want to leave these children with and then the state supports them the rest of their lives in jail.
