Bryan D. Castillo, formerly of Cranston, was not a fan of being in jail.
On Friday, he slipped away from a work detail on Route 95 in Providence.
His brush with freedom didn't last long, though. He was caught around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday when he was found in a house in Providence.
Police said he was involved in an altercation at the house.
Castillo was serving a one-year sentence at the Adult Correctional Institutions for breaking and entering.
His sentence was up on Feb. 26.
With the new charge of escape scheduled for an arraignment today, it is likely that Castillo will be spending a little more time at the ACI.
