Police Arrest Sex Offender in Central Falls

A 37-year-old registered sex offender wanted by Cranston police for failing to register an address change has been arrested.

Police said Joshua Pereira had not been at his registered address at 101 Oaklawn Aven. since July of 2013.

He was also wanted on a warrant out of Central Falls for a breaking and entering charge.

Police said that Pereira was apprehended by Central Falls Police on Feb. 11.

He was released on surety bail and is due to appear in court on April 17 for a prearraignment disposition conference.
