Police Capture Men who Allegedly Robbed Pizza Delivery Driver

A Cranston man and a Johnston man wanted by police for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint are in police custody and being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions.

Police said Joshua M. Carey, 22, of Cranston and Alec A. Perry, 18, of Johnston, were both apprehended on Nov. 17 after their pictures were posted on the Rhode Island Most Wanted Web site.

Police said the two men allegedly ordered two pizzas from Silver Lake Pizza in Providence and requested for the delivery man to bring change for a $100.00. When the delivery man responded to 5 Joy St, a white male suspect exited the residence with a black rifle and ordered the delivery man to give them all the money.

At that time the money was handed over and both suspects ran from the scene with the stolen $230.00 cash and the two pizzas.

Carey is being charged with first degree robbery, domestic disorderly conduct and violating a no-contact order. Perry is being charged with first-degree robbery and breaking and entering.
