Police Release Images of Armed Robbery Suspect

The suspect robbed Ocean State Market at gunpoint on Tuesday.

Cranston Police are still looking for the man who brazenly robbed Ocean State Market on Dyer Avenue on Tuesday.

Police released images of the suspect who jumped over the counter while carrying a black handgun.

The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of cash, a few packs of Newport cigarettes and was carrying a red gym bag, otherwise known as a "sling bag," police said.

The suspect is described as a black male with slim build standing between 5 feet 7 and 8 inches tall.

He had a light colored mask, jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and black and white sneakers.

The suspect reportedly tried to rob a customer in the store as well, but he was unsuccessful.

Police said the suspect took off running towards Farmington Avenue.
