Police Searching for Wallet Thief

Suspect allegedly stole wallet from man who left wallet on the counter at Staples in Chapel View.

Cranston Police are looking for a man who they say is responsible for using a stolen credit card at McDonalds on Reservoir Avenue after stealing a wallet from a man who accidentally left his wallet on the counter at the Staples in Chapel View.

Police said the man stole the wallet on March 20 after the victim accidentally left his wallet at the cash register.

The suspect is seen on video taking the wallet and then paying for his merchandise with the victim's money. He was accompanied by a bleach-blonde-haired woman, police sid.

Later, the suspect reportedly used a stolen credit card at the McDonalds.

He is described as white with dark hair. He was wearing a grey and white striped shirt and is described as having a medium build.

Police believe he was driving a black four-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Fusion.

Maybe if companies invested in better security technology and people could actually see the suspects, there would be less robberies?

Spot on Nicole, you can buy security cameras for your house for low cost that are clearer than this...

Jeesh, same thing happened to me in the bathroom at Wal-Mart, Cranston on 4/24 while I tended to my child who had a bloody nose. Apparently my story isn't news worthy. Feel for the guy but why wouldn't you have canceled the card immediately! I sat in the car for over an hour calling my bank & credit card companies

Brand new building and you skimp on security cameras. Brilliant!
