Police to Announce Developments in Murder Case and "Other Developments"

Fung to give statement.

The Cranston Police Department announced it has updates on the arrest of a fugitive in a Cranston homicide case and "other recent updates."

The media will be given a briefing this afternoon at police headquarters.

No details were given about what will be announced, but Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung will be in attendance to "provide a statement," according to a news alert.

It is likely that police will give an update on the arrest of a man who was living in Florida and wanted in connection with a 2012 murder. Cranston Police detectives flew to Florida twice to level charges.

It is unclear if the mayor will address the ongoing State Police investigation of the Cranston Police Department.
