Sunoco in Edgewood to Become a Laundromat

The former Sunoco gas station at 1054 Narragansett Boulevard in Edgewood could soon be a laundromat.

The Site Plan Review Committee met Wednesday morning to review the plans, which depict a laundromat with signage and improvements on the 26,158 square foot lot.

The lot is zoned C-2, and a laundromat is an allowed use for the zone.

The plan calls for demolishing the former gas station, the creation of a new parking lot and landscaping.

The applicant is listed as RGD Realty, LLC.

The total size of the building will be 6,383 square feet.

City records show the property was bought by RGD Realty for $420,000 in December of 2012 from Theresa M. Cromwell.

The property's assessed value is $345,800 and was last assessed in 2013.

If a new coin laundry doesn't excite you, what would you like to have seen proposed for this location?
