Two Families Homeless after Greenwood St. Fire

Two families are homeless after a fire at 117 Greenwood Street Sunday afternoon.

Dep. Fire Chief Paul Valletta said the fire seems to have started in the kitchen and quickly spread to the rest of the structure. Nobody was hurt in the blaze.

The American Red Cross is helping the victims of the fire.

About 10 people were in the house when the fire started around noon.

The 1,282 square-foot, two-family home was built in 1920 and owned by Greenwood Garden Properties, according to city records.
