Warrant Issued for Missing Sex Offender


Updated, 9:30 a.m.: Cranston Police Major Robert W. Ryan said Lombard was picked up last night by Newport Police just before 11 p.m.

Cranston Police are looking for Bishop Lombard, 20, a registered sex offender who failed to notify police of an address change and was last seen Oct. 16.

Lombard is registered at the Harrington Hall homeless shelter at 30 Howard Ave. in Cranston. He is described as a black male with black hair, brown eyes and weighing about 160 pounds. He stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Lombard was charged with first-degree child molestation as a juvenile in Nov. 2008 and has had trouble staying in contact with authorities ever since. 

After his conviction, he registered with Providence police at the Department of Children, Youth & Their Families home “Turning the Corner.” Lombard went absent without leave and was reported missing from the home on Dec. 22, 2010.

He was found in Newport in Feb. 2011 where he was staying with his girlfriend. 

Since 2011, Lombard has been charged with failing to register an address change eight times, according to court records.
