Christmas Tree Pickup Begins Jan. 2

Make sure your tree is free of any decorations.

Christmas is over, so it's time to take down that tree.

The city will begin picking up Christmas trees on Jan. 2.

The pickup will last for at least two weeks and will run concurrent to regular trash day and might go into the next day.

Trees must be free of decorations. That means tinsel, garlands, your tree stand and other non-recyclable ornamentation must be removed from the tree.
