Daniel Wall Announces School Committee Bid

He was born and raised in Rhode Island, and has been a resident of Cranston for the past 13 years.

Today Daniel Wall announced his candidacy for Cranston School Committee and hopes to represent Ward 6. 

Wall lives in Cranston with his wife Jane, and his two daughters, Sebastiane and Teagan.

Wall earned his Bachelor’s degree from Providence College and his Master’s in Education from Brown University. He has been an educator for 22 years and has taught in Providence for the past 17 years.

At the Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex (JSEC) Wall serves as the History department teacher leader, and is the chairman of the JSEC school improvement team. In addition, he has served on several curriculum writing teams for the Providence school department. Throughout his career Wall has been an outspoken advocate for public education, on both the state and local levels.

“I believe that a quality education is one of the most important services that a city provides for its citizens,” Wall said. ”I feel that my perspective as a parent, and my experience as an educator, provide me a unique understanding of the issues facing our city’s schools.”
