Video: Home to RIEMA, Cranston Hosts Blackhawks

A pair of Blackhawk helicopters were used to give political leaders and state and federal officials a bird's eye view of Irene's aftermath. Since Cranston is home to the state EMA, the Blackhawks used Mulligan's Island next to the DMV a launch pad.

A pair of Blackhawk helicopters were used to fly Governor Lincoln Chafee and state and local officials over the state to assess the damage left behind by Hurricane Irene.

This video was taken after I happened to be driving by Mulligan's Island on Monday.
