Community Update

I was impressed with these guys' honesty. I had asked them to evaluate the source of the 'check engine' light and they performed the diagnostic test for free. Then I had asked if they would change the timing belt and water pump. They put my car up on the lift and showed me the problems created by having rust under the hood. For example, one of the motor mounts was nearly rotted, the catalytic converter was rusty enough that it wouldn't last much longer, the oil pan had enough rust that it would develop a hole at some point, and the air conditioner had seized up. Rather than mentioning these items to jack up the price they were suggesting that I buy another used car so that I didn't have more and more costly repairs and a wasted investment in a dying car. All of these tests and inspections cost me nothing. So, while I have not had Nasir (sp?) or Charlie service my vehicle, I can attest to their straightforward manner. The other poster who claimed otherwise may be legit or not. I don't know. But a friend of mine has all of his high mileage cars serviced there and raves about their straightforward approach and the fact that they keep the prices reasonable.
