Four Candidates Declare for Woonsocket Special Election

Four Vying for District 49 State Rep. Seat

PROVIDENCE, RI  -- Rhode Island Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis announced today, that four people have declared their candidacy in the State Representative (District 49) Special Election.  The filing deadline was 4:00 p.m. today.

The four candidates, which have declared are Douglas T. Brown, Mark L. Chenot, Stuart Gitlow, and Michael A. Morin, all have filed as Democrats.  These candidates will obtain their nomination papers on December 18th, and they have until December 24th to get the required 50 signatures of eligible voters from within District 49.
