Another Go — Rosenfield to Run for School Committee

Jay Rosenfield, president of Clerkbase — a paperless meeting agenda and minutes solution company — is running for the Ward 6 School Committee seat.

Jay Rosenfield, president of Clerkbase — a paperless meeting agenda and minutes solution company — is running for the Ward 6 School Committee seat.

"For too long we have seen the great divide between our city and our school district.  We have seen the bickering and mistrust over budgets and funds.  We now have the opportunity for a new era of openness and reconciliation with our great city," Rosenfield said.

"In our schools we have seen deficits, broken down school buses, aging facilities.  Our custodians and secretaries have taken pay cuts while administration has been given pay raises.   Our teachers try to do more with less in the ever burdensome era of curriculum changes.  Our principals and other administrators leave for greener pastures where communication and support are paramount to the success of their position," he said. "We can do better.  We can treat our parents better.  We can treat our employees better.  We can communicate better.  We can hold central district accountable."

Rosenfield first ran for the Ward 6 seat in 2012, garnering more than 2,000 votes but losing to incumbent Andrea Iannazzi by 700 votes. Iannazzi has announced she will not seek reelection after serving 10 years on the School Committee.
