From the Cranston Public Library:
During school vacation week, the Cranston Public Library offers special programs for young people featuring everything from cupcakes and face painting to wild animals and video games.
At the Central Library, children will be "Inspired by Animation!" at two special events, funded by the Friends of the Library. On Tuesday, February 18, families can drop by any time between 2:30 and 4:30 PM to watch animated shorts by Pixar, the studio that produced Toy Story and Cars, and make animation-inspired crafts like thaumatropes and flipbooks. On Thursday, February 20, families can drop by any time between 10 AM and 12 PM to watch animated fairy tales by French director Michel Ocelot and make and play with shadow puppets.
