Local Radio Station will Sponsor Father-Daughter Dance

Cat Country 98.1 will be hosting a father-daughter dance Nov. 15 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet.

A local radio station announced today that it is hosting a father-daughter dance at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet for girls in grades 1 through 6 on Nov. 15.

Cat Country 98.1 announced that it will be hosting the dance in response to the father-daughter dance controversy in Cranston.

The event will feature American Idol winner Scotty McCreery.

Chaperones for the dance can be any adult 18 or older and can be any person in a child's life, including women.

Tickets will cost $10 and proceeds will benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Rhode Island.
