Cranston's 10U Rays Represent Well in NJ Tournament

The Rays are home now and have their eye set on this years 2014 10U AAU Northeast Regional title.

Congratulations are in order to the 10U RI Rays AAU Baseball club out of Cranston, who played in the Diamond Nation 10U Memorial Day Blast in Flemington, New Jersey over the Memorial Day weekend.  

There were teams representing states from the entire east coast and the Cranston Rays put in a fine performance, landing eighth out of a pool of 16 with two wins and two losses. 

It was the team's first time on turf made from recycled tires.

The Rays lost to the Doylestown Tigers out of New Jersey, and The Long Island Tigers and won over The Bel Air Braves from Maryland and The Connecticut Mustangs. 

The Rays are home now and have their eye set on this years 2014 10U AAU Northeast Regional title. This team, was the first-ever 9U team the RI Rays Baseball Club assembled to play in the New England Amateur Athletic Union Regional Championship and won it all last year as the 9U team.
