Cranston's Castelli Eyeing Second Figure Skating Pairs Medal

Cranston's Marissa Castelli is deep in the midst of practicing for the upcoming 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Boston.

With less than 100 days until the January competition, Castelli, along with her partner Simon Shnapir, are hot off the heels of a sneak preview performance at Boston's TD Garden last thursday.

The duo are last year's national pairs champions and they will be defending their title at the January championship, which will be held from Jan. 5 to 12 at TD Garden and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

“This season we’ve taken all the right steps to getting back together as strong as we can be, stronger than ever,” Shnapir said in an interview at www.boston2014.com.
