After Olympic Bronze, Cranston's Castelli Gets Key to City in Homecoming

Cranston's bronze medal-winning Olympic figure skater Marissa Castelli came home from Sochi, Russia to an adoring crowd of friends and fans assembled at Providence College Monday night and was presented with a key to the city by Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung.

Castelli was whisked from Logan Airport in Boston straight to the rally at PC. One can only imagine the sensation of flying through all those time zones after flying through the air on Olympic ice.

"It's been kind of a surreal experience," Castelli said.

Fung, as he presented the key to the city, said everyone in Rhode Island looks forward to more great things from the Cranston High School West grad.  "your hometown of Cranston and your state of Rhode Island will always be here [to] welcome you home."

The homecoming at Schneider Arena will be aired at 7:30 p.m. on NBC10.
