Thunderbolts Heading to Super Bowl

The Cranston East Thunderbolts trounced the Barrington Eagles 46-13 in Division I playoff play last night, earning a spot in the Super Bowl.

The team was led by the stellar play of Alex Corvese, who rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two.

It's the first Super Bowl appearance for the Thunderbolts since 2005, when they beat Tolman in the Division II championship and the first Division I Super Bowl spot since 1987.

The Thunderbolts take on Hendricken on Sunday.
