Legislative Bills this week re: ILLEGAL ALIEN additional Tax Money to be GIVEN to THEM. YIKES

Illegal Aliens get College Tuition Legislative Bill proposed this week. HELP!!

In 1996, Congress passed—and President Bill Clinton signed into law—the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA).[i] Section 1623 of this federal statute prohibits state colleges and universities from providing in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens “on the basis of residence within the State” unless the same in-state rates are offered to all citizens of the United States.[ii] Today, 12 states[iii] allow individuals who are in the United States illegally to pay the same in-state tuition rates as legal residents of the states[iv]—without providing the same rates to others. By circumventing the requirements of § 1623 these states are violating federal law, and the legal arguments offered to justify such actions are untenable, no matter what other policy arguments are offered in their defense.

So, how has this changed from being a Violation under Federal Law?

If you DO NOT approve of Illegal Aliens receiving benefits here in Rhode Island such as the 2 Bills being heard this Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively – then, you MUST write to the below Chairman of the Finance Board for Representatives and Senators.  We must VOTE OUT these people that think Illegal Aliens (estimated over 20,000 here in Rhode Island), that feed off our benefits taking away and cutting funding for many family programs.

RE:  H 7340 RELATING TO EDUCATION -- TUITION EQUITY - House Finance Committee

Dear Chairman Melo and Representatives Diaz, Silva, Valencia, Williams and Slater:

I do NOT support allowing in-state tuition for "ILLEGAL aliens" in the above-referenced proposed House Bill.

I do not want, or authorize you to divert my tax dollars to pay for benefits for ILLEGAL aliens. I have pledged to stop allowing illegal aliens to receive taxpayer-funded aid and reside in our State.

It's against Federal Law that anyone continue to demand that undocumented residents be denied any type of higher education, benefits or otherwise. They need to apply for citizenship and go through the proper channels to do a background check and then when they pay into OUR system, they should have those rights that I pay for.

Entry into our country without permission is a crime, and we should be prosecuting all crimes.

Sincerely,
