Re-Entry - Charles Manson-like Brutal, Barbaric & Top 6 of Thrill Killers to be released decades early in Cranston 1/2013

Re-Entry - Charles Manson-like Brutal, Barbaric & Top 6 of Thrill Killers to be released decades early in Cranston 1/2013

We have no choice/VOICE in keeping Alfred Brissette, 38, pleaded no contest to murder charges in the 1999 killing of Jeanette Descoteaux, also of Woonsocket.  The Supreme Court described the murder as a "brutal, barbaric and utterly senseless thrill kill.'"

Court records show Brissette and Marc Girard lured the woman to the woods of Burrillville with a promise to supply her with cocaine for sex.  Yes, she had drug problems and was making a deal sex for drugs, but what they did to her was reminscent of a Charles Manson follower.  "After she had dressed, Brissette began to hit her repeatedly with his fists and with the lug wrench.   She fell to the ground.   Girard then struck her in the spine in an attempt to paralyze her.   Both men then dragged her farther into the woods.   As Jeanette lay on the ground “gurgling,” Girard viciously struck her head three times with the lug wrench because:“I thought she was still alive.   I was just-she-she was wounded bad.   I was just trying to put her out of her misery.   I didn't want her laying out there for days still alive, bleeding."

Was sentenced to 60 years with 35 to serve and was scheduled to be released in 2034 after ONLY 13 years, but Brissette earned more than 1,600 days of "good time" credit putting his release date to 2028, according to the R.I. Department of Corrections. The Parole Board statement for the "Why" he was being release decades early is "...impressed with inmate's program particiption and his documented plan for change.  Further, the Parole Board did not receive any objection letter from the AG's office or the victim's family."  Note, the victim Descoteaux's mother died in 2008 and that was the only family member.
