Today at State House - BAD Bill H5917; In-State Tuition for Illegals

Everyone needs to focus on this as far as our military potential students have had funding CUT.  It's absurd and unfair in giving handouts to illegals versus giving to our American children, and how is it fair that the illegal alien student is given in-state tuition preference?

Subject: My Letter of Opposition to House Bill 5917 - TONIGHT's Finance Committee to be heard

Dear Finance Chair Melo and respective Members of the Committee:

I vehemently oppose this Instate Tuition for ILLEGAL immigrants (a/k/a non-residents), as this would codify into State Law that which is opposed in our Federal Laws.  It is your responsibility to out Legal Residents (inclusive of those here on Visa) to declare this Bill dead.  Our U.S. Citizens come first and until ALL of them get FREE education for college, then maybe we can revisit this talk. 

When an illegal alien is granted in-state tuition and admission to a state university, he or she is directly competing with American students for that educational slot. This competition is unfairly biased against American students in other states who must pay out-of-state tuition to attend the university, while the illegal alien student is given in-state tuition preference.  Our Military is being denied tuition reimbursement coming back from the war and you propose this absurd legislation!!

The answer will always be NO to those that do not abide by our laws.   As a single mother who struggles with 2 children, I feel Representative Diaz, Slater, Almeida, Williams and Ajello reflect a continuance to put in such shameful legislation and boldly profess to have the best interests of illegals versus American Citizens.

I implore you to put all such Bills to rest today and in the future!
