Tree: Thinking about getting rid of your Christmas tree? The city will begin picking them up on Jan. 6.
Gala: Speaking of New Year's, there's a special New Year's Eve Gala at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Dec. 31 starting at 7 p.m. Come for dancing with elegant attire. Couples and singles are welcome. Tickets include one complimentary drink to enjoy with hors d'ouvres before dinner at 8 p.m. For more info, click here. Langs: If you're not up for a waiting list, consider heading to Langs Bowlarama for a New Year's Eve party featuring Sharp Dressed Band. Show starts at 9 p.m.
