Cumberland Farms

Flag as Inappropriate

Cumberland Farms is a chain of gas stations and convenience stores that began in 1938 when Vasilios Haseotes and his wife, Aphrodite, bought a small farm in Cumberland, Rhode Island. That small farm eventually grew just across the state's border and over time became the largest farm in Massachusetts. By 1958, Cumberland Farms opened its very first store and in the 21st century Cumberland Farms has grown into about 900 stores throughout the Northeast United States. The Cumberland Farms on Reservoir Avenue sells gasoline, oil, antifreeze, beverages, sandwiches, frozen food, fruit, coffee, candy, newspapers, magazines and lottery tickets. The mart also does money orders, with a limit of $1,800 per day, per customer.
