The sprawling U.S. Senator John H. Chafee Athletic and Recreational Complex features five soccer fields, threeMore baseball fields, a tennis court and a basketball court. Along with views of the playing fields, a jogging track is situated close to the woods and wildflowers. For soccer, the complex includes Dorsey, Tribelli, DeNuccio, Perry and Volunteer fields, which host games for boys and girls teams in the Cranston League for Cranston's Future soccer league. The complex, usually referred to as Briggs Farm, prohibits dogs, golf, bikes, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades. Permits are required for use of soccer and baseball fields.

Cranston National Budlong Little League is a baseball/softball youth league. Both boys and girls are able to play inMore T-ball, minor and major leagues. Games are on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while practices take place all week. There are three manicured ball fields and a well-stocked snack bar that accepts cash only. There are bleachers for spectators, but most people bring their own chairs. 
John E. Cooney Field

Cooney Field is a lighted field that boasts a tot park, a running/walking track, a baseball field and a softballMore field. It plays host to Cranston Budlong National Little League as well as fast-pitch softball leagues. It is also used as a practice field for several schools and leagues.

Park View Field

Park View Field is located off Park Avenue, across from Roger Williams Park in Providence. Officially the Marie C.More Mancuso Athletic Complex, the park was dedicated in 1981, rededicated in 1991, and has a 1,700-foot-long exercise track and numerous courts and fields.

The park is home to the Edgewood Girls Softball League, four tennis courts, a basketball court, and a baseball, a soccer and two softball fields. Rounding it out is a large tot park with a slide, swings and benches and chairs. The turf also sees football games played by the Edgewood Eagles.

Mulligan's Island

Mulligan's Island's has two 18-hole mini-golf courses, as well as a driving range, batting cages, beach volleyballMore courts, an 18-hole Pitch & Putt short course, and even a par-three, nine-hole golf course. Situated on 64 manicured green acres, Mulligan's provides an oasis of fun in what might otherwise be a drab neighborhood just south of the Rhode Island Traffic Court and the National Guard Center on Route 2.

Mulligan's Island has been expanding its facilities steadily since opening in 2002 and was voted Rhode Island's best family entertainment center in 2008. A Pro Shop is open on-site every day and there are both golf and baseball academies for players at all levels. The complex is open year-round and features driving range stalls that are both heated and covered for winter practice, plus there are plenty of overhead lights for evening play during all seasons. There is also an ATM on-site.
